"Let’s make an off road race for girls” Someone whispered... (1994)

1994 First off road race for girls in San Vicente Ferrer:

An event with the participation of 8 intrepid girls in a race without classes but with a lot of fun.

Where the results were 1 flipped car, 1 light pole crashed (well actually one front suspension less) and a lot of work in the pits area.

After this experience is how the idea of Chicas-Off Road started

The story continues ... (2009)

The race Chicas Off Road, “100 millas de makeup natural”, first event where the drivers and co drivers were exclusively female, took place on July 18, 2009, in San Vicente Ferrer, Baja California, Mexico.

Mom and daughter, friends, cousins, sisters, was the way these girls formed their teams; it is worth mentioning that for the vast majority was their first time driving the car of their husband, boyfriend, uncle or father.

During the event there were 51 girls among driver and co drivers in 9 categories and a total of 18 cars. Some of these cars were labeled with flowers or rose-colored designs, very ad hoc with the event. The girls had a large number of fans from family and friends, as well as their team’s pit.

The Chicas Off Road race had a vibe and a unique feeling; the girls were full of excitement, nervousness, adrenaline, and anxiety for the event to start. With a more than a perfect weather and a geat atmosphere, Chicas Off Road successfully achieved its goal: girls at the wheel, lots of fun and a family event.
